Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She currently competes with the UFC Flyweight division. She is the older sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko first began fighting sports by becoming a Muay Thai boxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals via a majority decision. Antonina then won a Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, and a Gold Medal in 2011 and the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. She has taken home numerous titles including the K-1 World Championships, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas last at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was achieved by unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002, when she fought Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the fight with a TKO in round 2. Her subsequent 2 matches were held during the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She returned against Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She then went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She joined the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability at the end of the fight through knees to the body. Antonina was offered an UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shevchenko made her debut in UFC at The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious with a unanimous decision. She was defeated in her subsequent fight with Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina recovered from this defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. This earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but also defeated Ariane. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
